Lago Natron - Tanzânia

Conhecido como lago dos flamingos. Eu fiquei mais de anos procurando esse lugar, lembro de ter visto uma reportagem na NatGeo, e nunca ter descoberto aonde é... é lindo quando todos os flamingos levantam voo, perfeito!

Em um local hostil, quente, e esquecido no norte da Tanzânia, existe uma terra inacabada e crua. Um local esquecido que apenas alguns nativos tem a coragem de sobreviver por lá, o lago Natrom é cercado por vulcões em erupção soltando fumaça. As águas deste local são rasas com somente dois metros de profundidade. Em algumas épocas a chuva é abundante e não vivem muitas criaturas no lago, somente algumas que o cercam como babuínos, hienas, mangustos e outros animais. Mas em algumas épocas o local começa a ser habitado por flamingos, aves pernaltas cujo possuem uma coloração rosa de tanto se alimentaram de algas cujo possuem uma coloração vermelha.

O lago Natrom , durante um curto período, começa a gerar pequenas ilhas de sal, acima delas é um local muito hostil, apenas os flamingos conseguem viver lá e até mesmo se pocriar, estas pequenas ilhas de sal vão se juntando até formarem uma única e concreta ilha de sal, lá os flamingos construirão seus ninhos e cuidarão de sua cria por lá, durante este tempo os filhotes aprenderão muita coisa. Estas ilhas de sal é um local onde qualquer coisa que acontecer po lá já é um perigo, por exemplo, se você tiver um pequeno corte no dedo, você sai correndo de lá gritando por causa do sal. O sal é problema para os flamingos também pois criam "algemas" de sal nas patas e é muito difícil de quebra-las. este local nunca foi filmado antes até a disny nature fazer um documentario, "o balé vermelho" sobre os flamingos no lago Natrom, algumas filmagens não foram feitas por estar tão quente que não dava para filmar em tais condições como aquelas, mas o lago Natrom está ameaçado pela invasão do homem na área.
